2015 Day 5 – L**e Poem

I would not like to lose you in my life
Since I don’t altogether loathe you.
If I could lure you
To live in my locale
At leisure we would share
Language, literature and lore,
Lace words together, lyricise.
Or we could lodge beside a lake,
Laze and luxuriate with lemonade.
If you should leave,
Lone wolf, I’d lope
Home lame and late,
Would lapse, be lachrymose.
License and liberate
My tongue and I won’t lie –
This is no line.

Note: the prompt was to write a “loveless” love poem, not using the word love and leaving out the hearts and flowers.
