Call on Larne (day 13)

Call on Larne, and view Dioné,
Take and view a lilied rose.
Dim one, call on Larne, uncanny –
Canny deed uncannier knows.

Notes: the prompt for this was to write a homophonic translation of a poem – in this case the chorus of a Welsh hymn, which was all the foreign poetry I could remember while standing at a train station.
Calon lân yn llawn daioni,
Tecach yw na’r lili dlos:
Dim ond calon lân all ganu
Canu’r dydd a chanu’r nos.

I also began writing a ‘translation’ of Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau which began ‘My hen laid an adder’…
